mumurs

Another week has passed. Feel that I'm slowly being relegated to back seat. But then again, it's not that bad actually. People don't disturb you as much. Anyways... today is sat, but everybody's gotto be back for some opening and closing ceremony. VIPs are coming to visit and it's going to be a whole evening-to-night affair. After that, some of us will be getting together for couple rounds of farewell drinks and hugs for a beloved ex-colleague who's flying to The Big Apple to study.

Dad's away in Aussie now. Having a long overdue jalan trip with his 2 other uncle kakis. Hope they are having lotsa good food, fun, laughter and keeping safe. I will stay back on tiny red dot to clean house and self-entertain...

Yesterday night, caught a very nice movie - Sophie Scholl. About students' resistance movement during the Nazi era in Germany. Was initially worried that it might be a tad too serious and heavy-going, bordering on boring. But what a pleasant suprise it turned out to be - very engaging well-paced story, with great consistent acting!! Many things to look at, reflect upon and be thankful about. Humanity. Justice. Ideals. Nice!

After that, went for a hearty

ice-cream supper

@ new Cathay (quite a barren place i must say)

And that wrapped up the end of this week. Things will only get better (or so i hope!).

Oi

It's a warped world that doesn't recognize the talents of people like you and me.. hee ... whoever's putting you on back seat's an idiot.

Don't let their opinions undermine ur sense of self worth k because you are precious ... and powerful enough to make a difference from the backseat to the lives of students or that of fellow teachers ...

Work for them, not for the oppressors... : )
