48hrs

Am mustering my final ounce of energy to write this piece... before i flop onto soft bed and skydive off to wonderland. What a swift weekend it had been... Come and gone, and there's not even an afternoon nap to be squeezed in. But it was not all work (thank buddha).

On Sat, spent the morning scrubbing the house clean, then did a spot of shoe-shopping and sushi-munching at citylink, then went back to institution for a mandatory makan session with a few hundred other ppl in air-conditioned hall, followed by late nite drinks at good ole Blooie's (u can give their magaritas a miss if u are thinking of an alcoholic binge, unless u like ur maga-drinks bitter & unfruity).

Today, stayed in to do work till late afternoon, then popped by Red Dot again to absorb the raw energy (but think there are too few flea stalls liao, not enough to sustain interest for the masses in the long run), then plonked butt down at Maxwell Food Centre for makan, followed by after-dinner walkabout in Chinatown under sweltering humidity. Many shops were closed by 8pm...

We still have quite a long way to go before becoming the city that never sleeps eh.. Unless tonite, the shopowners had all decided to pull their shutters down early and return home for PM's rally.
