Yesterday was institution's fun fair. Big event with almost a hundred stalls (games, food, crafts) and bouyed by that famous amusement rides vendor - Uncle Ringo, who brought in his mini-viking, 360deg rotation, vertical bungee, gladiator ring etc etc. Drew in a huge crowd I must say, made the cashier ringer go off non-stop. The organizer must be smiling till lip cramp. Hope everyone got enough rest and recovery before a new wk starts tomorrow. Soon, it'd be 'O' level results day.. followed closely by 'A' level results day. My turn to feel the butterflies.

Anyways, amazingly managed to squeeze in time to bake some cookies yesterday. Will upload pics in the next entry (immediately after this). Looks like ang moh style carrot cake isn't quite a hit with your palate. Only got 1 order for a full cake. Never mind, thou shalt not be too discouraged. Every week (if I can afford the time and energy), there will be one new product. Am sure I'd eventually come up with something that'd make u say 'Yes'. Wish myself luck.
And amazingly also managed to meet up with IE buddy for a movie @ Picturehouse - 'Half Nelson'. Nice. Up for Academy awards for male and female leads amongst others. An intense show about a drug addict teacher and his friendship with a black student from dysfunctional family. Heavy stuff but I like it. And the theatre's very nice too.

2 more weeks to CNY. House-cleaning part II (changing + washing of bedsheets and quilt covers) will take place next week. And the buying of ('un-makeable' by me as of now) traditional goodies e.g. shrimp rolls and pineapple tarts; packing of ang baos, and buying of red new clothes will also have to be done sometime within the next 1-2 wks. Hectic and tiring. But still fun.
p.s. Realised I was passed over for a friend's wedding dinner. It's quite sad. We were once quite close. Then things cooled off a little over the past yr, but still I had thought myself close enough to deserve an invite. But so wrong I was. It's sad but I still wish the couple countless yrs of marital bliss ahead.
