Work matters. Emo matters. But thank buddha for logic, time and space. And of course, comfort food and company.
On days when the morale's low, colleagues and family chipped in (unwittingly) to rouse the spirit, by pampering the stomach and pandering to the innate desire for exploration.
We checked out (1) a new korean restaurant with affordable yet yummy set lunches ($9.80++), (2) the famous chinatown dessert shop with iced mango pomelo and beancurd barley, (3) the traditional chinese pastry shop with crusty egg tarts, (4) an alexandra zi cha store with signature tau pok stuffed with mushrooms, bacon, prawn and salted egg yolk, and (5) tampopo's hokkaido black pig, rich-brothed ramen. Of course, not all's done in a single spree, or I wouldn't have lived to tell the tale.
In any case, the gym is beckoning once again... or should I frankly admit - it's despairingly crying out for my overdue patronization.
Have a good weekend.

i vote for #1, the korean set lunch. btw, since when has a $9.80++ lunch become 'affordable'? i'm so behind times.
affordable considering it's served within an authentic korean restaurant, with full service and seating mah. not food court style. =)
you vote for #1? i vote for #1, #2, #3 and #4 and oh wait.. #5 too! bwahahaha. =P
where's the korean place?!! share share..
I forgot what it's called but it's along the narrow alley that's opposite Maxwell Market and next to the Red Dot Museum. Have fun checking it out!
