Yesterday, one of my colleagues had a huge sugar rush and started this massive bubble tea ordering operation. Heard of Koi, the bubble tea shop? No delivery unless we reach S$50 worth of orders. Their milk teas are supposed to be one of a kind, super smooth and milky, and their pearls dainty and heavenly-ingly chewy. Oh well, with such glowing feedback gushing out from the mouth of my trusted colleague, who could resist ordering a cup or two, priced at almost twice the price of normal bubble tea? So there we go, all whipped into a frenzy, even my Boss got into action too, ordering a cup of passionfruit green tea with pearls and 25% sugar content for herself. Here's part of our delivery (20 out of a total of 24 cups).
And have you heard of Dialogue in the Dark? http://www.dialogue-in-the-dark.com/exhibition/scenario/ It is an exhibition where visually-imparied guides lead visitors through a completely dark environment where one learns to interact by relying on other senses. A group of us went last week, and it was a humbling experience that provoked a change in perspectives. If you can spare the time and some small change, do make a trip down to Ngee Ann Poly where it's based.
And today, one of my best buddies is having her ROM. Not a very long courtship, but one that looks set to last. All the very best dear gal, for a sweet and steady marriage ahead!
