The Little White Pill

Am feeling the effects of that powerful cold pill... Had a terrible bout of sneezing fits over the weekend. The passageways were all clogged up, the eyes were sore and the head was light. Yet work needs to get done still. There was just not enough manpower in the office. 

So out comes the tiny white pill, in all its glory of drowsiness-inducing but absolutely nasal-clearing effect. It's ok when I'm deeply involved in a task, be it facilitating a workshop or answering some phone query or churning out some detailed report. But when it comes to just sitting down still at the back of a super air-conditioned room, with some trainer sharing non-stop for more than an hour, the battle against heavy lids begins. And so, I have to stretch, to rub my eyeballs, to wiggle my fingers and get the blood flowing. 

And that's how you come to read this post now. Am still working, just multi-tasking to make sure all my senses are kept awake. :P
