Half Day

I woke up at 3.30am today, and while 90% of the island's population remained deep in sweet slumber, drove my dad and 2 other uncles to our world-class 'fishball tower' at the eastern tip of island, for their budget flight out to up-and-coming, big brother China. Had a piping hot Mac breakfast on a semi-awakened stomach, before driving back to catch up on precious zzz on an equally precious half work-day. Typing this while still in my PJs, munching yummy cereals drenched in healthy low fat milk. Chinese pop songs are playing in the background, and today's newspapers are but an arm's length away from me. Another 1.5hrs of blissful time-out before I return to fight all that needs to be subdued. Thank Buddha for half-days.

hiyah, we could've met at the airport had you come earlier... :-)

btw, it's very weird to call it fishball leh. since when???

i arrived after a long turbulent flight. thought we 'might not make it'. *choy choy* the connecting flight was nice though. only polite and good-looking french stewards and pilots. then waited 3 hours for the stupid train which was severely delayed. luckily came home to uncle M who prepared a sumptuous lunch. and of course, many hugs... as if i returned from the dead.
