Apologies for the long absence

Inaction can be due to a:

- lack of time (***)

- lack of share-worthy updates (*** nothing much happening in my life except for work, work, and more work...)

- lack of mood (**)

- lack of discipline (?)

- lack of reader-audience (?)

- writer's block (?)

- kena discovered (?)

- scared kena discovered (?)

- etc etc etc

Legend: * = applicable; ? = don't know if it is applicable

And I am thinking of shutting down my blog. At least for a while... then no one will feel compelled to drop by and check if any new scribbles have been made, only to be disappointed when there is none. =P

But then again, this blog has been an avenue for me to keep in touch with some dear ones who are unable to communicate with me face-to-face (for whatever the reason), and I do want to keep this avenue open. I abandon the blog, but please never equate it to me abandoning the friendship/buddyship.

And I want to thank dear ikan, pinksmurffy, marly, kae, dawn, wolf, swiftdreamz for being my diehards. And for those silent readers who have been regularly popping by but not leaving your trace (I wonder if twin is one of them), I thank you too, for caring in your own way.

This may sound like an orbituary, but it is not, and I am fine. Sunnytears will be back. It is just a matter of when.

Action will be due to:

- enough time

- enough share-worthy updates

- enough mood

- enough discipline

- no writer's block

- not discovered

- not scared of kena discovered

- etc etc etc

Till the next time, I'd do one last update. And I'd let the pics below do the talking:

Yummy dinner on chu qi

3 different types of korean wine

After korean dinner, at Settlers Cafe

Thanks purely-platonic buddy, for the beautiful bouquet on friendship day

Take care, everyone!

[If and when I do literally shut down this site, don't be alarmed. When I return, I'd let you know.]

Here we go

Gong Xi Gong Xi, may all enjoy good health, happiness, prosperity and inner peace in this Golden Rat year. =)

Hope you have enjoyed the past 4 days of merry-making. For me, it's been a smorgasbord of family gatherings, temple-visitings, mahjong-playing, work-clearing and friends-hosting. The long weekend, gone before you can even bid adieus.

Coming wednesday is chu qi - ren(2) re(4), everyone's birthday, according to traditional chinese customs. So here's wishing you a happy birthday - congratulations on having aged yet another year. And on thursday, it's St Valentine's day, so here's also wishing you sweet, lasting love with your chosen partner, good friends, and family.

In the year of the Golden Rat, let's remember not to lose sanity while caught in the rat race (whether a willing participant or otherwise).

Sweet Success

Call it beginner's luck, but my very first attempt at making pineapple tarts is a sweet success!

Soft and fluffy on the outside, tangy and chewy on the inside. Yummy! Or at least Dad and I think so. =) Hmmm, it may even be one of the best products that had come out of my oven thus far. It wasn't that difficult afterall.

So, if you'd like to try this, feel free to visit during CNY. =) Perhaps I should sell them during the next CNY. But I'd probably need extra manpower and an industrial oven. Till then, it's back to non-profit enjoyment. Cheers!

In The Mood

CNY mood!!

Wonderful, just a few more days to go before the whole town gets painted in real RED. =)

Thankfully, I managed to get a wee bit of shopping done yesterday night - got my bak kwa, shrimp rolls, 2 tops and 1 pair of work shoes.. but there's still loads more to buy before the Rat year descends! And I still want to try making my very own pineapple tarts - already got my A grade ingredients from Phoon Huat earlier this morning. =) But first... clear some work. Argh.. Ok, am super motivated now, will clear the paperwork, and then happily succumb to the beckoning of Magic Oven and Crazy Malls.

You have a wonderful pre-CNY weekend ahead, my friends!
