Into the last two days of lunar new year!
Have you been gorging yourself silly on those fattening but delicious cny goodies? I haven't really been eating them much, in fact, had brought 2 new bottles of cornflake cookies and shrimp rolls to office since it's difficult for dad and myself (and my few buddy visitors) to finish that many goodies off.
Anyways, ever since the last blog post, with a new mentality, work life has become slightly more manageable. Or maybe I have gotten more used to and aware of the work expectations/culture. In any case, I feel better now and this is a gd sign. Into my second mth at new workplace, and I hope the next 22 mths of this 2yr posting will swing by quickly and smoothly, with minimal boo-boos.
Recently, managed to catch up with sec 4 pallies again over our traditional cny reunion meal (steamboat @ chongqing). Also played many rounds of mahjong with uncle, aunty & cousin. House-visited nie pals. Watched oscar-nominated movies. Cool.
And for those who care to know, things are still going swimmingly well with JM. He is like another big stabilizing rock (dad's the biggest living rock, and mama's the rock from above in the heavens). I find myself less uptight about a lot of things (including work ppl and matters that would have otherwise bugged me to the bits previously), and more balanced. Deeply thankful. For those who are waiting/searching for the right partner, do not lose hope. There is a special someone out there for everyone, just have to stay positive and keep an open mind until fate decides that it's time. For me, it took quite a long time (6 yrs?) before a whole new, real chapter beings (not considering the fleeting episodes of one-way/two-way interest). Big thanks to the several buddies who have accompanied (and are still with me) during this whole journey (you all are my other rocks in life). In another few wks time, the test of sustaining a long-distance relationship is going to start - wish us luck. We will not give up without a fight.
Tonight, I'd be bringing dad to Emil Chau's concert. Hope it'd be one great, enjoyable and memorable evening for dad.
Take care, everyone.
